CMA Reports Aren't Nearly As Valuable As You Think

James Keenan (now Nelson Alexander’s CEO) called us in 2015, furious.

James – “Mate, I just had a vendor tell me that another agent sells more than anyone in Carlton North! Considering we have 61% marketshare, I called BS.”

Andrew – “Seriously, you said that to the vendor?”.

James – “No, of course not, but I did ask what evidence was provided. Turns out, this agent shared a CMA report and insinuated that every property was sold by his team. Ian [the vendor] kept the document, and showed me. I said to him ‘I sold that one.. my colleague Nick sold that one.. Arch sold that one.. etc, etc.”

“Can you please provide me a map or graph that clearly highlights all the properties that Nelson Alexander has sold?”.

Andrew – “Yeah mate, will do right away”. We provided the info to James, with clear footnotes around where the data came from, timeframes, property types, etc.

James – “Andrew, thanks so much! I went and visited Ian and showed him the map you produced. He signed on the spot”.
